National University of Pharmacy has the fourth level of accreditation.

History

National University of Pharmacy was founded in 1805 and it has already marked its 200th anniversary. The study process in the University is provided by 830 lecturers including 15 academicians, 14 Honoured Workers of Science and Technique of Ukraine. 80% of the lecturers have scientific degrees of Doctors and Candidates of Sciences. For the present moment 17 000 of students study in the University.

Since 1960 the University has been training pharmacy specialists for foreign countries.

Today the National University of Pharmacy is a centre of international pharmaceutical education which has taught over 4 500 Masters in Pharmacy for 80 countries of the world.

There are 1500 foreign students in the University.

Structure

University has 11 Departments. Foreign students are trained in 3 specialities: pharmacy, clinical pharmacy and technology of drugs. On graduation they receive diploma of Master in Pharmacy.

Working languages

Citizens of China can get education in Russian or in English. The duration of study in Russian is 6 years (1 year at Preparatory Department where Russian is studied). Term of training in English is 5 years (no Preparatory Department).

Tuition fee

The tuition fee is much lower than in higher educational establishments of Europe, North America and Australia: 1200 $ at the Preparatory Department, 2800 $ - studying in Russian and 3500 $ - English medium of instructions.

Level of teaching

National University of Pharmacy is famous world wide for the high level of teaching and high quality of professional preparation of pharmacy specialists. Over the years of its activity the University has trained over 47 000 specialists in pharmacy. Our graduates occupy senior posts in governments of their countries, head large pharmaceutical enterprises and companies, set up and run private drugstores.

Studying conditions

University is hosted by 5 buildings – administrative, chemical and technological, medical and biological, clinical and humanitarian. The structure of University comprises 5 hostels, medical centre, botany garden, health centre and cultural centre. Lectures halls, laboratories and classrooms are equipped in line with the European standards.

Medical care

Medical care in student hospital and specialized centre for medical care, which is hosted in one of the hostels, is available for all students. Highly qualified doctors provide the due care. The centre is equipped with up-to-date instrumentation for the diagnostics and prophylaxis of different diseases. Health services in this centre are free of charge.

Living conditions

Students have the opportunity to live in University hostels of two levels of comfort: classical student hostel and top-comfort hostel. The average living fee is 25 – 40 $. The hostels host reading rooms, library, Internet-cafes, international telephone connection, laundry. There are cafes in every University building where a meal under 2$ is available. One-way ticket for underground is 10 cents, for overland means of public transport - up to 50 cents.

How to obtain the invitation for study

For studying at the preparatory Department or on the first year one needs to obtain the “Invitation for Study”. If the answer to your inquiry is positive you will have to pay through WESTERN UNION the cost of “Invitation for Study” form, its processing, visa issuance services, and the services for sending this form to your regular mail address via mail and messenger services.


Obtainment of Ukrainian visa

In order to obtain the visa to Ukraine you have to submit your Invitation for Study and documents for entering university into the Embassy of Ukraine to China.

Entrance into Ukraine is possible starting August 15

Studies begin on the 1st of September


Documents for entering the University

You have to submit the following documents for entering the University:

· National passport document and its copy

· Certificate on secondary education (original or its notary certified copy)

· Medical certificate issued nothing earlier than 2 months before entering Ukraine

· AIDS test results

· Birth certificate (original or its notary certified copy)

· 12 3x4 photos (no headgear)

· Insurance police for medical care is obtained in the University. Age limits: 30 years for students and 35 years for postgraduates.

Preparatory Department
National University of Pharmacy’s Preparatory Department for foreign citizens is among the best in Ukraine.
It will take only 2 months to learn how to speak Russian in the Dean’s office, in hostel, in means of transport and cafes!
It will take you one year to acquire knowledge in biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics in Russian. And as a result – you are ready to study in pharmaceutical, medical and engineering higher educational establishments.

Preparatory Department is located within a campus proving all the conditions for living and studying.
